When global demand for superfoods began to surge in 2017, a duo of forward thinking agri-entrepreneurs saw an extraordinary opportunity to bring Chia cuiltivation to the people and soils of their homeland.
Chia (Salvia hispanica) thrives in warm, semi-arid climates with well drained soils – conditions that Southern Africa provides in abundance. Early trials proved the crop not only viable but exceptional, producing seeds with higher omega -3 content than many international counterparts.
Today we represent a growing network of smallholder and commercial farmers united by a shared vision to position Southern Africa as a leading supplier of Chia to health concious markets in Africa, Europe and beyond.

FOUNDER AND CEO
Rudo, a third-generation entrepreneur with 30 years of experience, co-pioneered Chia Seeds production in 2017 as part of her efforts to support farmers transitioning from tobacco farming to alternative crops. She drives the company’s strategic vision and oversees vital farmer partnership programmes, which include seed cleaning services.

Elvin brings 8 years of agri-commodity trading experience, having worked in livestock and agri-commodity markets in Zimbabwe. His oversight not only enhances stakeholder relationships but also ensures compliance in the organisation.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND INTERNATIONAL MARKETS DIRECTOR
Chido is responsible for the company’s growth, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategies across cross-border, multi-regional territories in Africa and the European Union. Her foucus is promoting Chia Seeds and the provision of seed cleaning and oil extraction services in Southern Africa.
